Planetary Dance is a contemporary dance ritual for healing and regenerating communities of people, created by the internationally renowned dance visionary Anna Halprin. Planetary Dance is not a dance performance but a dance that, in its intention, invites each person to actively participate by engaging with their whole being. People of all ages and conditions have come together in this universal and accessible form over the past 45 years, dancing for peace with the Earth and for peace in their communities.

Registration and application:
Eligibility requirements: level 1 Tamalpa graduates and beyond.
This program is also open to professional practitioners in the field of somatic, performance, therapy, education, counseling, and the arts.
Application process: please send a CV and a letter of introduction sharing about yourself and why you want to take part in this program (no more than 500 words in a pdf or document formate) - Application closing date: 15th May. The group is limited to 20 trainees.

The course:
The Planetary Dance is a moving mandala open to people of all ages, capacities, and abilities. It involves the simple activities of walking, jogging, running, and pulsing or stillness in many concentric circles, held by the 4 cardinal points. In this way we are all moving as a choir; heart unified to the rhythm of the drum, we become a collective body where every step on the Earth is a prayer for healing. The power of this community ritual is accentuated through the engagement of each person’s personal intention and prayer.
The workshop will be accompanied by live music from various musicians and percussionists.
On June 18th as part of this workshop, a Planetary Dance open to the public, facilitated by the trainers and co-led by the trainees will be organized at Pointe Erlong , beach of St Pierre in Locmariaquer.
- Learn all aspects of the Planetary Dance, its theory, form, preparation, context (Circle the Earth process) and organization. - Use the RSVP* cycles - created by Lawrence & Anna Halprin.
- Collect and gather the resources and tools to run your own Planetary Dance group.
- Help create, dance, and direct a first Planetary Dance on June 18, 2023, in Locmariaquer.

Asisted by Chloé Noble Performer, dancer, co-founder of Tamalpa France, LifeArtProcess ® Practitioner, Actress trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York & Art therapist certified from the faculty of medicine of Tours.
